Advent Concerts 2026

Event | funded projects |

Once again this year, the festive concerts “TUM Adventsmatinee” and “VivatTUM” will take place on the first Sunday of Advent. The TUM University Foundation is pleased to play its part in bringing the TUM family and its friends together for this festive end-of-year celebration.

Under this year’s theme, “Advent, Advent…!” Music for Advent and Christmas there will once again be two festive concerts featuring a diverse program of music by world-renowned as well as lesser-known composers. The Symphonic Ensemble Munich (SEM) will perform, and the powerful TUM Choir will sing under the direction of conductor Prof. Felix Mayer.

Morning:

10:30 a.m.: TUM Advent Matinee: the concert for professors, staff, students, as well as friends and supporters

Afternoon:

2:30 p.m.: VivatTUM: the concert for first-semester students and their parents, alumni, and members of the Friends of TUM e.V.

You can find more information about the concert and tickets here.
